Healthy Mouth, Healthy Kids

Baby teeth coming out without root

Once the tooth has came out, it looks like the root or pulp of the tooth is still there. The red root thing is the shape of her tooth which is gone now? What do I do?

Sometimes a primary tooth can exfoliate (fall out) and leave some soft tissue behind. This tissue should not be painful and should dissolve in a day or so. If not, have your child examined by a dentist.
