Swollen Palms03/15/2008 |
I have not done any stressful activities and I woke up with the palm of my hands on the lower fleshy area(on the side of the thumb) hurting. It is a bit swollen and the veins show more than usual. It`s not the first time this happens. What can this be?Thank you
You could have a tendonitis or tenosynovitis (inflammation of the joint in that area). Alternatively, other rare conditions may cause these symptoms. Seeing a rheumatologist may be indicated.
