High Blood Pressure |
Side effect of sun04/04/2008 |
I am on elanapril 10 mg/ hctz 25 mg. In the winter when I am in Florida my blood pressure readings are higher. Could a couple of hours in the sun cause this?
There are no data regarding sunlight and blood pressure. As long as you use sunblock, sunlight should not raise your blood pressure.
The HCTZ component in your blood pressure medication can cause sun sensitivity. This means that even low levels of exposure to sunlight can cause a rash or a burn.
Your higher blood pressure in Florida may be due to changes in your diet (e.g. a higher intake of salt).
