`Age` of lungs05/15/2008 |
I have been sick for 2 weeks and recently had a chest x-ray. Although I do not have pneumonia, the doctor commented "nice lungs, they are the lungs of a 30 year old". I am 45, female, and in very good shape as I exercise daily. Can you tell me, other than a compliment, what did his comment actually mean?
He probably means that there were no abnormalities. It would be difficult to distinguish between "30 year old lungs and 45 year lungs" on a chest xray. You should probably ask your doctor if you want further clarification.
