is a high pt inr result a possible side effect of cardizem?
Cardizem (diltiazem) is a calcium channel blocker. Diltiazem lowers the heart rate and the blood pressure.
Side effects of diltiazem include flushing, bradycardia (slow heart rate), edema (swelling of the legs), nausea, headache, insomnia and rash. High blood pressure would be a most unusual side effect of this drug.
