Menopause03/14/2008 03:32PM |
I have gained 10 pounds since the summer. I have been at the same weight 130-135 for the past 32 years - and after having 5 children. I am 56 and know that menopausal women gain weight. It is unacceptable to me. I do not want to take estrogen replacement drugs or homeopathic remedies. I have already done that and know I have to face menopause sometime. Help.
Many women in my practice tell me they have to exercise more and eat less to stay the same weight. The exercise will have other benefits such as maintaining muscle mass, cholesterol control and general fitness.
