Inflamed taste bud and phantom taste03/18/2008 |
I`ve had what appears to be an inflamed taste bud on the very tip of my tongue for at least a week now. It`s not particularly painful, yet what concerns me is the phantom taste of salt, and sometimes sweet, that accompanies it.Is this unusual? Should I be concerned/visit my doctor, or will it clear up by itself? Thanks
Avoid extremely hot and spicy foods, try not to irritate or bite it and give it two weeks to heal. If it does not heal in two weeks, I suggest you see your regular dentist.
