Liver cysts04/09/2008 |
Hello! I am a female who has 2 liver cysts. One is 7 cm in size and the other is 5 cm. I have pain on my right side. It doesn`t really go away. The doctor said I could have an ultrasound next year to determine if they are growing in size. I had an ultrasound in 2004 and the one that is 7 cm was 3 cms. Is there anyway to get rid of it? And how can I be sure they are not dangerous? Thanks!
The usual way liver cysts are removed, if it is recommended, is through surgery. The way to tell if the cysts are "dangerous" would be to biopsy them or take a sample of the fluid from the cysts and analyze it.
