Tendon damage with bone chip03/26/2008 |
When I was a teen I tore my tendons in my ankle playing tennis and the doctor informed me in the process I chipped the bone. Suddenly at age 30 that ankle is in excruciating pain and I was just wondering if it is possible it is because I chipped the bone way back when.
There are several possible explanations for your pain. First, could you have re-injured your ankle? Second, you could be developing arthritis in your ankle from the previous injury. Finally, the bone chip may not have healed properly and may have lodged into a joint space. With any of these scenarios, if the pain persists, you should seek futher evalution from a health care professional.
