Braces/ gums swollen, massive cuts04/01/2008 |
I have had my braces on for several months and have had a little pain with them as comes with having them on, however, this is different...my upper left side of mouth the gums are severely swollen (also very red) and so painful I haven`t eaten in few days. I also have over 8 cuts on that side of my cheek causing my cheek to also swell now and the braces are rubbing against it. I tried to see my Dentist and without even looking at the ptroblem he said it will be fine and to just see him at my next appt., next month! Should I go to see someone else and does this mean I probably should get my braces removed?
You should definitely be seen to evaluate this swelling. You do not necessarily have to have your braces removed.
