My blood was thick.04/10/2008 |
I HAD A BLOOD TEST DONE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF MY FATIGUE. THE LAB TECH HAD TROUBLE GETTING MY BLOOD DRAWN AND HAD TO STICK ME SEVERAL TIMES. SHE ENDED UP USING A REALLY SMALL NEEDLE. I NEVER BLEED AFTER THIS PROCEDURE AND MY BLOOD LOOKED DARK AND THICK. THE TECH COMMENTED ON THIS AND I WONDERED IF THIS IS NORMAL. I HAVE COPD AND OSTEOPOROSIS AND MITRAL VALVE PROLAPSE.
It is very difficult to really say anything about any blood conditions based upon how the blood flowed in the tube or the color of it for the most part. It may just related to the difficulty they had drawing the blood. These are not factors that we would use to evaluate a patient.
