How can I access local and national information on demographics and statistics concerning the occurrence of autism spectrum disorders?
Hello,
One source for obtaining national and state data on autism, is the Fighting Autism website at:
http://www.fightingautism.org/idea/autism-prevalence-report.php
The information is collected annually from the US Department of Special Education as part of the Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). So you will be looking only at the school aged population.
