Popping and cracking of my jaw04/13/2008 11:47AM |
With movement of my jaw, there is a popping and cracking sound that comes through my right ear. It feels like my jaw is breaking and sometimes feels as if it is going to lock. Any idea what this could be? It started when I had a cold but the cold symptoms are now gone.
This is a clear indication of articular disc displacement. I will suggest to do a consult with a prosthodontist with TMJ (Temporo Mandibular Joint) experience. The popping and cracking may turn painful later.
