My son is 4 years old. He have a inverted penis. We are taking him to a urologist this month. What does this mean? If he need surgery what all does this mean? What all will they have to do to him? Is it a painful operation?
It sounds like he has a hidden penis. Some cases require surgical correction, while many will gradually have a normal appearance without surgery. Surgery on the penis can be difficult for a 4-year-old from a psychological standpoint, so a decision for surgery should be made very carefully. If there are significant penile adhesions from the foreskin, then it can be fairly painful, whereas if there are few or no adhesions, post-operative discomfort is not very severe.
