Nursing infant allergy04/25/2008 |
I am nursing my 7 week old. I was put on cephalosporin for mastitis two weeks ago. After taking the full course of the meds, my infant broke out in hives. I have been off the meds for a week now and he broke out in hives again yesterday and today. Could he be allergic to the anibiotic I was taking?
It is possible. If you had received something similar during your pregnancy, it is even more likely.
