04/16/2008 07:39PM

Question:

What is the possible effect of taking altace on a person whose MG is in remission?

Answer:

Altace (ramipril) and the other ACE inhibitor class of blood pressure medications are considered safe for myasthenia gravis. But still always be vigilant about your disease symptoms and watch for any recurrence, especially of shortness of breath, slurred speech, or swallowing problems.
