Knee pain04/23/2008 09:30PM |
I am a 14 year old. My knees always hurt ..and they have been hurting for like 3 years now and I never really paid attention to it. Then like a month ago I went to a doctor and he only gave me some pills. Then a week ago i was sitting down and when i stood up my right knee sort of liked made a pop sound and it hurt really bad. And today i was with my legs streched out and i saw that i could move my patella and I got really worried..what could it be?
These types of symptoms can be caused by many different causes and can be sorted out by a thorough physical exam and possibly x-ray testing. A diagnosis of this type cannot be made over the internet, however, your symptoms can be caused by tendinitis, bursitis, a torn cartilage or ligament in the knee or even a small piece of cartilage or bone that has broken loose and is floating around inside the joint. The kneecap is usually mobile and does move somewhat when the knee is extended.
