Non-calcified pulmonary nodule04/24/2008 10:20AM |
my husband had a ct done they found a 6x4mm in one lob and 4x3mm in the other. he is a smoker what does all this mean have a appointment net week with pulmonary dr
Many of us have pulmonary nodules and fortunately, most of them are benign. Likely, the pulmonologist will follow the nodules with serial CT's. 6mm is usually too small to biopsy. They should definitely not be ignored, however, they are likely benign. This would be a good time to discuss smoking cessation with the pulmonologist.
I hope this helps.
