Colon Cancer |
What is my prognosis after surgery?06/03/2008 |
I had a colonoscopy last week. I had three polyps removed and I have a 5cm mass inside my rectum. Now the biopsy shows borderline cancer. My doctor wants to remove part of my colon. My diagnosis is tubulovillous adenoma. I`m having a CT scan of the abdomen done tomorrow.
If you do not have cancer, you do not need a part of your colon or rectum removed. Find a specialist in colon and rectal surgery who can do a trans-rectal ultrasound and offer you a transanal excision, if appropriate.
