Menopause |
Abnormal period05/29/2008 |
I will be 50 this July. For about three years, my periods have been irregular, occuring sometimes every 3 weeks, sometimes 6 weeks, etc. However, as of April 2, 2008, I have had light bleeding almost every day (enough for a mini pad or two a day, which I guess could be considered spotting.) One or two days I didn`t have any bleeding, but this has been going on at least 3 weeks. I have Herpes, but not HIV. I have continued to have sex regularly, and have extreme vaginal dryness. My doctor, who I will see in August for my pap smear, told me vaginal dryness is one of the first signs of menopause. I really don`t have any other severe symptoms. Do you think this bleeding is normal? Should I see my doctor sooner? Thank you!
I would recommend calling the office and asking it the doctor thinks you should come in sooner.
