Peri-rectal infection04/28/2008 11:24AM |
I recently had surgy on what I was told to be a Peri-rectal Infection. I was hospitalized for one week while the insession was kept open with a gause packing. I am back at work and some people here are saying it is contagious. I think it is not contagious. Can you help me clear this up?
It is not contagious unless you had Staph resistant to antibiotics, or another resistant organism. In any case, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after dressing changes.
