Question:

I ONLY JUST FOUND OUT TODAY ABOUT PUL HYPER AND WILL HAVE A CHEST X-RAY AND LAB WORK TOMORROW IN PREP FOR ANOTHER HEART CATH ON 5/9. I AM CONFUSED BECAUSE MY CARDIOL DOESN`T SEE WHERE THIS IS COMING FROM BUT THE NUMBER IS 69

Answer:

A lot of times there is no cause for the pulmonary hypertension; in that case we call it Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH) or Primary Pulmonary Hypertension (PPH) - both mean the same. I am sure your cardiologist will be able to give a firm diagnosis after the cardiac catheterization.

Good luck!
