Pulmonary pressures measured 11005/04/2008 04:51AM |
how long do i have to live
A pressure of 110 is quite high. How long you will live is hard to answer. It depends on several things:1. How well your heart is coping with the pressure. This is reflected in your 6 minute walk, the BNP level, and the appearance of the heart on echo and the right heart pressures measured during the catheterization .
2. More importantly, how well you respond to treatment .
3. For patients who fail to improve with treatment, lung transplantation is an option
