How to correct my vision after LASIK surgery

05/08/2008 07:39PM

Question:

after lasik surgery i have shadows on the left side of all objects i have complained to my eye doctor over the past several years about the problem with no corrective action. about a month ago i went to an opthamologist and after the third try with three different lenses i still see two fence posts when i look out the window. the byfocal part of the glasses seem to be fine any thoughts on help would be appreciated.

Answer:

Without actually performing your examination, it is difficult to accurately diagnose the etiology of the shadows and double vision that you have. However, after LASIK, when your eye heals, there can be some irregularities in the corneal surface. These irregularities can cause shadows and double vision. Rigid gas permeable lens can be utilized to smooth out such irregularities thus reducing the shadows and double vision. Also it is strongly advised that you sit down with your eye care specialist and ask your questions to them directly. Make sure you understand their answers, and the reason for your visual disturbances.

Best of luck to you.

Kind Regards,
