Stomach pains

05/12/2008 01:07PM

Question:

About a month ago, I went to my doctor with pain on the left side of my back by my waist. I only had the pain when I urniated especially when I start. I had no urgency, blood, or burning. My doctor sent me for a urine test and a KUB Xray because he thinks that I might have kidney stones. My father was told he had a kidney stone just a week or two before that. Now that pain is still there, but it happens now when I am not urnitating. I have also been having a stabing pain on the same side, but in the lower part of my stomach (almost in the groin). The stomach pain is not always there, but I feel like I am getting stabed there 5-10 times a day. The back pain is more constant. My back is also tender to the touch. I have not got the test results back yet, even though that was about a month ago. Could this be kidney stones and does it normally take that long for the stone to move?
