Mental Health

Who to See?

05/16/2008

Question:

I want to start therapy, I have issues with an eating disorder and with anxiety. They are not related. Should I see two separate therapists that are strong in each particular area or hope whoever i choose is competent in both areas? I have to keep insurance/cost in mind.

Answer:

I think you should have one therapist who is comfortable in both areas-having two therapists would be chaotic and probably unproductive.

Good luck.
