My husband has not really been tested for low serotonin levels. However he is being given Celexa for anxiety. This drug does not seem to work for him the way it is supposed to. Is there a way to test the serotonin on the brain and actually get a cause as to why he gets angered so quickly? Our marriage will not stand another blowup like the one we just had.
Unfortunately measuring serotonin in this manner can not be done. Adjustment of the dose of Celexa or a consideration of a different medication might be helpful to decrease anger, impulsivity or outbursts as an alternative.
