sometimes when my husband eats he get a feeling of something stuck in his throat and he tries to clear his throat and cough up whatever is in there and most of the time its phlem.
Cough can be a symptom of pulmonary fibrosis. However, cough can be a symptom of many other lung diseases as well. Cough after eating can sometimes be a symptom of aspiration (food or liquids going into the lung). This is often evaluated by a swallow evaluation, generally by a speech therapist.
