Low male testosterone levels and baby gender06/18/2008 |
Hello my husband has been recently told he has a low testorone level, will this affect fertility and also will it affect whether the baby conceived is a boy or a girl?
Low testosterone levels will not affect the baby's gender. However, it could affect sperm counts. He should be evaluated by a urologist who specializes in male infertility for any treatable causes. Also, a semen analysis can be performed to determine whether his sperm counts, movement and appearance are normal.
