Quick seton question06/17/2008 |
If one has three Setons in place for perianal fistulas and has gone through two Remicade infusions with No. 3 happening at week`s end and there is still greenish-yellow pus coming from the Setons/fistulas, will the colorectal surgeon still be able to remove the Setons next week as was the original plan?In other words, does having discharge even after three Remicade infusions delay the Setons removal?
Thank you.
Not necessarily. Your surgeon will have to look at the degree of inflammation and make that decision.
