Microsurgery on lingual nerve

Our daughter had her lingual nerve severed when all four wisdom teeth were extracted. She is only 14. He says she now needs to have the surgery to reattach nerve. I am trying to find out how long this surgery usually is, and what kind of recovery period and what we should expect? If you don`t deal with this, do you know of anyone I can ask? I am so scared for her and anxious and we can`t even get in to a specialist for two and a half more weeks. Thanks so much.

The prognosis with lingual nerve repair depends on the extent of damage, duration of injury and location of injury. Please ask your oral surgeon to make an appropriate recommendation of a surgeon near your region. The recovery depends upon the type of surgery and can only be answered after an exam and necessary tests.
