Could an Eye Virus Cause a Lump on the Tongue?06/20/2008 |
I had a pea size lump come up on my tongue a couple of days ago. It was sore at first but currently it is not. I do smoke. I have been being treated for an eye virus for about 6 months, and one of the medications for that is Acyclovir, which I started taking two months ago. Could the lump on my tongue be related to the eye virus?
It is not possible to determine what this is by a description. If it does not resolve, then it should be evaluated by an ear, nose and throat physician or an oral surgeon.
