Exercise and Fitness
Hello! I had my first child 11 months ago, and i`m still trying to loss the baby weight. Just to let you know, I was in shape before I became pregnant and put on a lot of muscle. I see that is happening again. I do eat every 2-3 hours and work out on a treadmill and elliptical and walk. I`m putting more muscle on that I do not want. What can i do to slim down and NOT bulk up? Please advise.
It is discouraging to be working so hard on your exercise program and eating right and still not meeting your weight loss goals. It is possible that you have gained some muscle mass due to your cardiovascular activity and weight lifting. This is a very good result because the ultimate body composition goal is to obtain more muscle mass than fat mass. It may be helpful to consult a registered dietitian to review your diet to determine if you are eating in a manner that will best help you reach your goals.
