What are the chances I`m pregnant?07/04/2008 |
Hi, a quick ? for the experts...my bf and I have been dating for about a year and have recently decided to consimate our relationship. Now since I am a virgin and he is NOT I am a little clueless. We didn`t want to get pregnant yet, and so this is what we decided to do. He penetrated me and broke the hymen but was only inside me for about 1-1/2 minutes, there was no thrusting and he pulled out b4 he reached ejaculation. He has been sexually active for some time and has alot more experience than I do so I assume he knows when he has ejaculated or is going to. I am Not on birthcontrol because I am not sexually active and we didn`t use a condom, my last period was on May 27 or 28 and since I am now several days late I took a pregnancy test on June 29, it came back negative. So did I take the test too early? Is it possible that I AM in fact pregnant? Please let me know what you think. Thanx so much.
It is possible, but unlikely, that you could conceive from the described sexual activity. You should repeat your pregnancy test in one week.If you are going to engage in sexual intercourse, withdrawal is not the most effective method of contraception. You should use condoms and see a heath care provider regarding other options. Additionally, if your partner has been sexually active with others, he should have screening for sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.
