Question:

My periods always lasted for 7 days. About 8 months ago tey went down to lasting 3 days. Now the past 2 months it only lasted for 2 days. I am 34 years old. Can this be the start of menopause? Should I let my doctor know if I don`t get a period for a while?

Answer:

Yes, I recommend you let your doctor know about the change in your cycles.  If you are using an oral contraceptive pill, the change could be associated with the pill.  Other medications can also affect your cycle.  Review any medications and supplements you are taking with your doctor.
