Precancerous polyps in Colon Cancer Patient08/20/2008 |
My husband has colon cancer that is in remission, almost considered cured. He had a colonoscopy recently and it came back with results of a precancerous polyp. He was told that he does not need to come back for another colonoscopy for one year. Is this soon enough and should we contact his previous oncologist?
That is the standard to repeat colonoscopy 1 year after having any polyp in colon. The oncologist has no impact on these decisions but we agree.
