Bruxism07/21/2008 |
When was bruxism known? I remember grinding my teeth as far back as the 70`s. I also remember being told by a dentist after a filling that it will feel high but not to worry I would naturally grind it back down to where it will be normally. Only thing was as time went on the grinding got worse. When I was in the navy I asked why I was grinding my teeth at night so bad it would wake my wife up at night. I would use up guards every other night? When I didn`t have a guard I found broken pieces of my tooth in the morning.
I'm not sure when bruxism was first known. You should not be going through guards every other night. The material should be a hard acrylic that should last longer.
