Can this condition cause headaches, like really tight head is going to explode, type? Will it show with a regular blood pressure test during one of these headaches? Thank you.
Pulmonary hypertension can be associated with headaches either directly or indirectly in association with another disease such as obstructive sleep apnea. I believe that you are referring to a systemic blood pressure measurement (often taken with a cuff on the arm). While this measurement may be elevated during a headache, this is not indicative of pulmonary hypertension. The blood pressure of the circulation is measured by cardiac catheterization or estimated with an echocardiogram.
