When is it Safe for Pregnancy While on Isoniazid?

07/27/2008

Question:

I am at the 6 month mark of a 9 month cycle of taking Isoniazid. The doses are 300 mg one time per day. How long should I wait to get pregnant before the meds are out of my system? I saw the other question related to mine, but her question was for a 6 month cycle.

Answer:

Actually, Isoniazid can be taken during pregnancy. If you would rather wait until you finish your prescription, Isoniazid should be out of your system 2 days after your last dose.
