Are Blisters on the Back of Tongue a Symptom of any STDs?

07/28/2008

Question:

I found a couple of blisters on the back of my tongue toward the tonsils. They do not hurt but worry me. Can they be any STD?

Answer:

Sometimes the normal taste buds at the back of the tongue can be considered as an abnormal process by patients. You should be evaluated by an ENT or oral surgeon to clarify your findings.
