I have copd and have had a few bad days of breathing. My doctor told me to take 20 mg prednisone for 5 days. He said no tapering off is necessary with a blast treatment. Is it safe to do this?
Yes, it is safe to discontinue prednisone at 20mgs a day with this short duration of therapy.
