Denture Questions07/29/2008 |
I would like to know the following: 1) Can you have dentures and still retain some good teeth? 2) Do dentures deprive the wearer of the sense of taste, even though proper hygiene is followed? 3) What are the telling signs that dentures are needed? 4) What about periodontic problems and dentures?
1) Yes, is call partial dentures.
2) Yes, they do.
3) Generalize periodontal disease with bone lost, missing teeth, low budget to keep what is remaining, poor oral hygiene, etc.
4) Is possible with partial dentures. Is less likely with complete dentures. All depends of the oral hygiene and habits of the patient.
