Elevated temperature- spikes bi-weekly

Question:

What is next medical step. 6 year old has temperature of 102-04 with exhaustion plus occasional vomiting. This occurs about every two weeks. Routine blood ok. Check with otonologist was normal when not sick. Leg cramps go with it.

Answer:

I would discuss that question with your child's primary care provider and perhaps they will recommend a consultation with a pediatric rheumatologist or other subspecialist based upon the past medical history.
