How To Get Pregnant?09/05/2008 |
I had my tubes burned & tied, but now my husband and I want a child. So, how do we get pregnant with me having my tubes burned & tied?
In this case, you have two options for conceiving:
1. Tubal Reversal - this is an operation where the tubes are connected using tiny sutures. It can be performed through a small open incision, or through a laparoscope (telescope through the belly button) using robotic assistance.
2. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) - a procedure in which your ovaries are stimulated with fertility medications to make extra eggs, with the eggs being removed from the ovaries and mixed with your husband's sperm; 2 embryos would be transferred into the uterus with any extra embryos frozen.
