Right scapula pain09/05/2008 11:32AM |
I have been in the military for over 4 years. We work out at least 5 days a week. The last six months I have had pain on my right scapula. I am going to Phyical Thearpy for it, but the pain is not getting better. I have no clue what to do or how to make this any better.
Pain in the scapula can be due to a shoulder problem, but could alternatively represent referred pain from your neck (or elsewhere). Physical therapy - or any treatment - should be based on an accurate diagnosis, which requires a medical history, physical examination, and possibly such diagnostic studies as X-rays or an MRI scan. Persisting pain symptoms not responding to P.T. should be evaluated by a physician, if you've not already done so.
