Recovering from a fall (age 72).11/13/2008 |
After tripping and landing on my right hip/buttock last week, I thought I was okay and continued activity on my feet for next 3 days. Wound up with extreme pain in center of right buttock and inability to walk without assistance. Orthopedist Xrayed, said no fracture, prescribed Lortab 5 and although pain has lessened, I still can`t walk without a cane. Can this be muscle damage?
Yes, it can be soft tissue injury (muscles, ligaments, tendons), keep walking and doing exercises. See a physical therapist and give it time to heal....may take few more weeks. Thanks for the inquiry.
