Chemotherapy and White Matter Disease10/22/2008 |
I have been fighting Melanoma since July 2002, have had 6 different Chemos and I`ve noticed my memorie has really changed and it`s a bit scary, I`ve had 2 radiation treatments and 15 surgories. I brought my MRI to the Alzheimer Clinic in Tampa Fl and was told I have white matter disease. Could the Chemo have caused this? What do I do. I`m 62, my Father and His Mother both had dementia. Please help.
The answer is yes. A neurologist should be consulted for further information.
