Asthma Coughing10/31/2008 |
For the last year I have had a problemwith coughing. My doctor has told me that I have asthma symptoms. I have to use an inhaler twice a day. But after that I have a persistent dry cough. What should do? I am a TB patient also.
It is sometimes difficult to determine the cause of cough. The most common causes of cough are post-nasal drip due to allergies or sinus problems; acid reflux from the stomach; asthma; or certain medications. There are many causes that are less common including coughing out of habit or infections.
If the inhaler has not helped it is important to talk to your doctor about exploring other causes of your cough. If this does not help you can ask to see a lung specialist.
