Can a listhesis reurn to normal?11/05/2008 |
I have been diagnosed with an L4 listhesis? I was in severe pain for 8 weeks, and now I have none. Can a vertebrae return to its normal position?
Hello, thank you for your question. Yes, vertebrae can return to normal position, in fact most people who have a listhesis actually have a vertebra that moves in and out of normal position as their body position and activities change. Sometimes the symptoms can disappear even if the vertebra is still slipped out of place, though. Unfortunately, those symptoms can often periodically flare back up, so be cautious. Good luck.
