COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
i have copd and want to know why I need to use extra oxygen 24 hrs per day at 4000ft elavation but when I visit my family I don`t seem to need it at sea level.
At higher elevation, the air is "thinner" and the oxygen molecules are not as abundant. Generally, all people have lower blood oxygen levels at altitude. In some individuals with COPD this means they need to go on supplemental oxygen.
